The experience

The day starts before dawn with pickup from your hotel and a drive to the White Sand Dunes. Once there, you have a choice: ride an ATV yourself across the dunes and around the lake to catch the sunrise, or stay in the jeep while the driver takes you up. The quad bike option costs extra (300,000 to 400,000 VND per person) and is where most of the riding happens. The dunes are steep enough that the service exists specifically for this. You'll see the landscape shift from dark to lit as the sun comes up.

After the white dunes, the tour moves to the Red Sand Dunes, where locals offer sand-sliding boards for rent if you want to try that (30,000–40,000 VND per board). Then you stop at the Fishing Village, where thousands of round boats create the view. You're watching the daily work of the people who live there, not performing for them. The driver takes you through, and you can walk and photograph.

The last stop is the fairy stream, where you walk barefoot along the water and see the different sand colors the landscape holds. The driver brings you back to your hotel to end the tour.
