The experience

You start in the Old Quarter and climb onto a vintage Minsk motorbike to ride yourself through the parts of Hanoi most tourists never reach. The first 90 minutes take you down narrow alleys and into local markets where vendors, artisans and families work through their day. This is not a drive-past, but a slow weave through the living rhythm of the city. You'll pass temples, playgrounds and cafés tucked into the backstreets, stopping to meet locals and get a close look at how the city actually moves when no one is performing for visitors.

The next hour shifts to Hanoi's landmarks: you ride through the French Quarter and Old Quarter, then out to Long Bien Bridge for views of the Red River and the green farmland and villages that stretch beyond the city edge. Train Street is on the route, and your guide knows the timing. You'll have coffee there and watch the train pass. Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda all fall into the ride, each one a stop for photos and the story behind it.

The food hour happens at a Hidden Gem Café where everything is organic and made fresh. You'll taste Hanoi fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, Banh Mi, five-colored noodles, green papaya salad, and the city's signature egg coffee: a creamy, rich drink that tastes nothing like what you'd expect. Local moonshine and Bia Hoi (fresh beer brewed daily) round it out. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, and your guide handles the ordering.
