The experience
The Ha Giang Loop is a motorbike circuit through northern Vietnam's most dramatic terrain, and this three-day version covers the core route in a single private booking. You meet your guide and driver at 8:30 on day one and ride to Cat Ly Glamping for coffee overlooking the canyon, then stop at Thai An waterfall before lunch in the village below. The afternoon takes you through Duong Thuong viewpoint and Lung Ho village to Du Gia, where you swim in the waterfall before dinner at your homestay. Each night you stay in a private room in a family home, not a hotel.
Day two is the route's most famous stretch: you visit Du Gia market on Saturday morning, climb to Lung Ho viewpoint, cross Sa Ly rice terraces, then take a bumpy road down to the Nho Que river for a boat ride through Tu San canyon. After that comes Ma Pi Leng pass, one of Vietnam's four most celebrated mountain passes, where your guide explains the history and the local name "happiness road." You finish with a short hike to Sky Walk and the deadstone rock formation, then check into a hotel in Dong Van town for the night. Day three descends through the nine-turn pass and Tham Ma pass (also called snake pass), stops at Can Ty pass and the Hmong hemp cooperative, and reaches Quan Ba heaven gate viewpoint before returning to Ha Giang city by early afternoon. If you want, a limousine bus departs for Hanoi at 4pm from the hotel.
Your guide speaks English or Vietnamese and rides with you. The driver follows in a support vehicle. All park tickets, motorbike rental and fuel are included, plus one large bottle of water per day and parking fees. You bring your own helmet (provided) and valid motorcycle license. Meals are arranged at local restaurants and homestays, though alcohol and soft drinks are not included in the price.

Choose this length if you want the full circuit but have limited time. The four-day option adds more villages and viewpoints if your schedule allows.
