The Experience

Ever wondered what it feels like to walk above the clouds? That’s pretty much how it started for me—half awake in Danang, then suddenly on this winding road heading up to Ba Na Hills. Our guide, Minh, was already cracking jokes about the weather (“You get all four seasons here, but I can’t promise which ones”). It was early but not too cold; there was this faint scent of wet leaves when we stepped out for the cable car. Honestly, I didn’t expect the ride to be so long—almost 20 minutes floating past waterfalls and misty forest. My ears popped halfway up. Minh pointed out an old French villa peeking through the trees. I tried to snap a photo but just got my own reflection.

The Golden Hand Bridge is… well, it’s weirdly peaceful in person. There were people everywhere taking selfies (me included), but somehow it still felt quiet.
