The experience
You meet your instructor on shore, get an introduction to paddleboarding techniques and water safety, then paddle out onto calm water. The class starts with basic paddling and balance practice, making it accessible whether you're new to boards or already comfortable on water. Once you're settled, the instructor guides you through a series of yoga poses, stretches, breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques adapted specifically for the moving surface beneath you. The session unfolds as the sunset reflects across the water, creating a natural rhythm for the practice.
The physical work is light but steady: balancing on the board while moving through poses engages your core and focus in ways a shore-based class doesn't. You'll get wet, and the water stays calm enough that the real challenge is the balance itself, not fighting conditions. By the end of the 90-minute session, you paddle back to shore feeling the combination of physical work and the quietness that comes from practicing outdoors on the water.
