The second half of the day shifts to Concord's literary history. You cross the Old North Bridge, where colonists overwhelmed the British regiment guarding it, then have free time to explore Concord's downtown and grab lunch at one of the local restaurants. After lunch, the tour takes you to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery to walk Author's Ridge, where Thoreau, Emerson, Alcott, and Hawthorne are buried.
