The Experience

The tour starts with pickup in downtown Boston and moves through the neighborhoods where the revolution took shape. You'll drive through Southie and Charlestown, passing the USS Constitution, then climb to Bunker Hill Monument to understand how that siege helped end Boston's occupation. From there, the route heads to Cambridge for a walking tour of Harvard Yard and the buildings that sheltered the militia, including the space where George Washington himself stayed.

The 10-mile drive to Lexington puts you on the ground where the first battle actually happened. You walk across the Lexington green and hear how the militia gathered there on April 19th, 1775—the moment the war began. The guide shows you the Buckman Tavern from the outside, where local militia waited for the British, and points out the house where Sam Adams and John Hancock hid to escape capture. Then you follow the same route the British took that morning, stopping at the Paul Revere capture site and a former British army headquarters that also served as a field hospital.

Concord is the final stop, where you walk to the bridge and stand at the site of the "shot heard round the world"—the moment the minutemen and militia met British forces with unexpected resistance. On the way back to Boston, you pass through the town itself.
