The Heart Veins of Elk Heart Cliffs sit in terrain that needs a UTV to reach. Your guide drives the Can-Am through rough ground while you ride as a passenger, which means you arrive at the canyons without the fatigue of piloting an off-road vehicle yourself. Once you reach each canyon, you get out and walk: about 100 yards into the deepest parts of the slot canyons to see the formations up close and find angles for photos.
The two canyons are the stops on this route: the Upper Red Cave slot canyon and a second Southwest slot canyon, each one a separate exploration on foot.
