Certified Divers: 2-Tank Wrecks & Reef Snorkeling in Oahu
Your dive guide stays with you the entire time by Hawaii law, keeping you close to the reef and the wreck.
A guided 2-tank dive for certified divers exploring Oahu's shipwrecks and reefs, departing from Waikiki with all premium ScubaPro equipment, bottled water and snacks included. You'll descend to either the Sea Tiger, YO-257, or San Pedro wreck, then move to a local reef to spot native Hawaiian marine life. The dive center is the only one in central Waikiki, a 15-minute walk from hotels, with valet service handling transport to and from the boat.
The experience
You're staying in Waikiki and have a morning free: no need to drive 25 minutes to a dive shop on the North Shore. Waikiki Dive Center sits within walking distance of every hotel in the area, and their valet service picks you up from your hotel, takes you to the shop, and brings you back after the dive. The boats are U.S. Coast Guard certified, which means they carry current emergency equipment, EPIRBs and first aid kits. Every crew member is a PADI-certified, licensed, insured dive professional current in Rescue, EFR and O2 aids, not the case with 98% of dive operators in Hawaii.
The dive itself runs two tanks: you start at either the Sea Tiger, YO-257, or San Pedro shipwreck, then move to a local reef where you'll see colorful coral and native Hawaiian fish. All premium ScubaPro equipment is provided and well-maintained. By Hawaii law, your guide stays with you and keeps the group close during the entire dive for conservation. Bottled water and snacks are included. The whole outing takes about five hours from hotel pickup to return.
This is a group dive, but if you want more personalized attention or extended bottom time, you can book a private guide at checkout. One option includes optional snorkeling if someone in your party isn't diving that day. Note that you must present evidence of dive certification at check-in, and you cannot dive within 18 hours of flying. Plan your day accordingly. Late arrival of more than 15 minutes will cancel the trip and charge the full booking fee.
