The experience

The catamaran leaves Waikiki at either 8am or 11am and reaches Turtle Canyon in roughly 15 minutes: short enough that you spend most of the three hours actually in the water instead of traveling to it. Once there, you snorkel with Hawaiian green sea turtles and tropical fish in their natural habitat, then rotate through kayaking (real paddling, not tethered), stand-up paddleboarding, sea scooters, swimming and boat jumping. All equipment is provided, and the crew assists first-time snorkelers and less-confident swimmers with life jackets and flotation boards in the water.

Between activities, you relax on the catamaran with complimentary snacks (muffin and cup of noodles), hot and cold water, coffee and tea, and views of Diamond Head framing the Waikiki shoreline. The boat has two restrooms on board. If conditions align, you may spot dolphins, and during whale season (roughly January through March), humpback whales pass through Hawaiian waters, though sightings are never guaranteed.

Free pickup and drop-off within the Waikiki area is included, so you don't arrange transport to the dock. The crew speaks English and Korean. Life jackets are provided for anyone who needs one, and the activity welcomes families and beginners. Children under 2 board free but cannot enter the water. If you're prone to motion sickness, take medication before boarding.
