The Experience

Ever wonder what it feels like to glide through Central Park without breaking a sweat? I didn’t, honestly, until my cousin booked us this private pedicab tour. I didn’t expect to feel so small rolling past The Met and those Upper East Side apartments—Sam told stories about who lives where (Keanu Reeves? Who knew). He slowed down near Strawberry Fields; there were flowers on John Lennon’s memorial and someone quietly playing “Imagine” on a guitar. That part hit me harder than I thought. On the way back we zipped by the bridge from Elf (Sam did his best Will Ferrell impression—he should stick to guiding), then past Trump Hotel and all these places I’ve only seen in movies. My hands were cold but I didn’t mind.
