Tandem Paragliding in Alanya: Soar with an Expert Pilot

You fly tandem with a licensed pilot over Alanya's coastline

Tandem paragliding in Alanya pairs you with an expert pilot for a two-hour flight over the Turkish Riviera, with roundtrip hotel transfer and all equipment provided. A live guide speaks English, German, Russian or Turkish. The activity is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy or cardiovascular concerns.

The experience

Alanya's coastline becomes your view from the air. You're harnessed to an experienced pilot who handles the flight while you experience the glide, the thermals and the landscape unfolding below. The activity takes roughly two hours from pickup to return, with the flight itself the centerpiece. An air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel, transports you to the launch point and brings you back afterward, so the only thing you arrange is showing up.

The equipment (harness, parachute, all safety gear) comes with the booking. Your pilot manages the technical work. You manage the moment. A guide in your language walks you through the basics before launch and stays with you through the flight. The takeoff fee of €10 is separate from the booking price and paid on the day.

Top questions

What languages is the guide in?

Live guide in English, German, Russian and Turkish.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.

What's the actual flying time once we're in the air?

The full activity runs about two hours, which includes ground preparation and the flight itself. The airtime depends on conditions and the pilot's route, but you're aloft for a substantial portion of that window.

Do I need any experience or special fitness to tandem paraglide?

Tandem paragliding suits all fitness levels since the pilot does the flying and you're secured in a harness. It's not recommended if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Wind and visibility determine whether flights go ahead on any given day. The operator will advise on the morning of your booking whether conditions are flyable, and you can reschedule if they're not.

Are photos or videos included in the booking?

The equipment and pilot service are included, but photos and videos are not part of the standard package. Check with the operator about purchasing options if you want footage of your flight.

How does the pickup work, and what time do I need to be ready?

The roundtrip transfer collects you from your Alanya hotel. The operator will confirm your pickup time when you book, usually early morning to take advantage of the day's wind conditions.
