Tandem paragliding in Alanya with hotel pickup and flight equipment included, flown by a licensed woman pilot. You choose between a woman or man pilot at checkout. The flight lasts around three hours from pickup to landing. Health insurance is included. Children from age 3 are welcome.

The experience

The shuttle picks you up from your hotel and drives you to the launch point. Once there, the pilot fits you into the harness and equipment (everything is provided), and walks you through what happens next. You stand at the edge, the pilot counts down, and you both run forward into the air. The ground drops away fast.

From the moment you lift off, you're seeing Alanya from a perspective most visitors never reach: the turquoise water directly below, the castle walls on the headland, the cliffs and the curve of the coastline stretching out. The pilot handles all the flying. Your job is to take it in and feel the thermals lift you higher. The whole flight unfolds in silence except for the wind and the occasional radio check with the ground crew.

You land back near where you started, still strapped to the pilot. The whole experience (pickup, gearing up, the flight itself, and the ride back to your hotel) takes around three hours. The operator includes health insurance as part of the booking, and the pilot speaks English, French, German, or Arabic depending on which one you're paired with.
