Bodrum Orak Island boat tour: Swim in turquoise bays
Swim for two hours in Orak Island's turquoise water, then drift through three more bays on the way back
A six-hour boat tour from Bodrum to Orak Island includes lunch, multiple swimming stops and views of Bodrum Castle. You board at Halikarnas Port after hotel pickup, spend two hours swimming and sunbathing at Orak Island, then visit Kızıl Burun and Rabbit Bay before returning to port by 6pm. The tour runs daily and suits all fitness levels; admission to Black Island Hot Spring is optional at checkout.

The Experience
The boat leaves Halikarnas Port in the morning after you're picked up from your hotel and settled by the crew. For the next six hours, you're moving between four stops: Orak Island is the anchor of the day, where the water turns so clear and turquoise that the bay reads like a large aquarium. You get two full hours there to swim and sunbathe on the sandy beach, surrounded by olive trees. Lunch arrives on the boat after your first swim, so you eat between the water and the next leg of the route.
On the way out and back, you'll see Bodrum Castle from the water — it sits on three sides of the peninsula and comes into view as you approach the centre. The other two stops are Kızıl Burun and Rabbit Bay, each with their own stretch of turquoise water and a different feel. Rabbit Bay has warmer water than the earlier bays and a sandy beach wide enough to stretch out on. The boat returns to Bodrum harbour at 6pm, which gives the day a fixed endpoint instead of an open-ended afternoon.
The tour is wheelchair accessible, and the boat can accommodate infants in prams or strollers. All areas and surfaces on board work for wheelchair users. If you want to add the Black Island Hot Spring stop, you can choose that option when you book.

Is this one for you? Most Bodrum boat tours stop at one or two bays and rush the swimming time; this one anchors the day at Orak Island with two full hours in the water, then adds two more bays on the return so you're not watching the clock between swims.

What's the water like at Orak Island compared to the other bays?
Orak Island has the clearest, most turquoise water of the stops — it's so transparent it resembles a large aquarium. The other bays, Kızıl Burun and Rabbit Bay, have turquoise water too, but Rabbit Bay's is warmer and better for a longer soak at the end of the day.
How much time do I actually spend swimming?
You get two hours at Orak Island for swimming and sunbathing, plus additional time to swim at the other two bays. The full tour is six hours, so the rest of the time covers the boat ride between stops and the return to Bodrum.
When does lunch happen, and what's included?
Lunch is served on the boat after your first swimming break at Orak Island. It's included in the tour price; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are charged separately.
Will I see Bodrum Castle on this tour?
Yes, Bodrum Castle comes into view as you sail out in the morning and again on the way back to port. It sits on three sides of the peninsula and is visible from the water.
What time does the boat return to Bodrum?
The boat returns to Bodrum harbour at 6pm, so you know the end time before you board. Hotel drop-off follows after you return to port.
