The experience
The speed boat leaves at 9am and reaches Koh Nang Yuan by 10:30, giving you time to snorkel the Japanese Garden (a named reef spot where coral and fish concentrate), or climb to the island's viewpoint if you prefer to stay dry. Lunch happens on Koh Tao at noon, then the boat moves to the afternoon snorkel sites: Ao Muang bay and Ta-Toh bay are the standard stops, though the operator may shift to Hin Wong or Sai Ree depending on weather and conditions. Both bays hold plentiful coral and marine life in shallow water.
You get snorkeling equipment for both sessions, so no need to bring your own. The day runs nine hours door-to-door, with the boat returning to Koh Samui by 4:30pm. Breakfast, lunch, seasonal fruit, snacks and drinks are all provided. You pay only the Koh Nang Yuan entrance fee (250 baht for adults, 120 for children) at the island if you choose to go ashore there.
What’s included
- Light breakfast at the pier.
- lunch at a restaurant on Koh Tao.
- snorkeling equipment for both sessions.
- seasonal fruit, snacks and drinks at the end of the day.
- air-conditioned vehicle for hotel transfer.

Is this one for you?The full day means an early 7am pickup and return by late afternoon, so book this if your schedule allows a morning departure and you want both islands in one trip. Two separate snorkel sessions mean you're in the water twice but also have time to hike, rest on the beach or simply move between sites without rushing.
