Four to six hours takes you through Phuket's most recognizable sites without the rush. You start at Wat Chalong, the island's largest Buddhist temple, where a 60-meter chedi houses a fragment of Lord Buddha's bone and you can climb multiple levels to see the temple grounds from the top terrace. The temple was built in the early 19th century and honors two revered monks who helped locals during the 1876 tin miners' rebellion with herbal medicine. From there, the route heads to Nakkerd Hill for the Big Buddha—a marble statue that dominates the skyline. Note that the main grounds remain closed following a 2024 landslide, but you can still drive to the hilltop to view the statue from the rear and take in 360° views of Phuket's hills, bays and beaches from the parking area and viewing platform.

The walking portion happens in Phuket Old Town, where Sino-Portuguese shophouses line streets like Thalang Road, Dibuk Road and Soi Romanee. The facades are painted in bold colors and the district holds temples, museums and street art that trace the island's mixed heritage. A stop at Khao Rang Hill Viewpoint, located in the heart of Phuket Town, gives you another angle over the town and the southern coast, with a newly built gazebo and restaurants if you want to sit with the view. The tour includes a brief stop at a local handicrafts shop where you can browse traditional Thai souvenirs—no pressure to buy.
