The experience

Hotel pickup starts the day, and the jeep heads straight into the island's interior for mountain off-road driving with views across Koh Samui. The route is built around the stops that matter: Na Muang Waterfall comes first, where you get time to swim in one of the two main falls, the best water on the island, and the option to pay extra for the jungle slide if you want it. From there the jeep moves to Secret Buddha Garden, a remote garden filled with Buddha statues on a quieter part of the island, then to Wat Khunaram to see the mummified monk kept in the temple.

The final stop is Grandmother & Grandfather Rocks near Lamai beach, the famous rock formation close to the shore. Lunch, bottled water and soft drinks come with the tour. The guide navigates the bumpy terrain and knows where the day's stops actually are, so you're not hunting for them yourself or managing the timing. The whole thing runs six hours door to door.
