The Experience

After pickup from your hotel, you head to the port and board a well-equipped local fishing boat. Once at sea, your captain walks you through traditional fishing techniques — whether you've never held a rod or you fish at home, the approach is the same: learn what works here, cast, and see what bites. The boat stays in the Gulf waters off Koh Samui, and the atmosphere stays relaxed; there's a casual competition running through the morning (who catches the biggest, the most, the strangest fish), but no pressure, just the pleasure of the moment.

Around midday, lunch is served on board. If your catch made it to the galley, it gets cooked; either way, a Thai buffet arrives with refreshing drinks. You eat on the water with the tropical landscape around you, then head back out for a final fishing session before the boat returns to port and you're driven back to your hotel. Bottled water is provided throughout the day.
