- Visit blacksmith
- Tour caves

The experience
The tour runs between four and six hours depending on when the tide allows the seaweed harvest to happen. You'll travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the village, where the real work begins: watching the women who farm the seaweed in the shallow water, then following the crop through the processing center and factory to see how it becomes finished products. The route also takes in a blacksmith, caves and ruins that sit within the same cultural landscape.
What sets this apart is the access to the actual workflow. Most visitors see a demonstration or a finished product. Here you're watching a living operation that depends on the ocean's rhythm. The seaweed farming itself is tidal work (the women can only harvest when the water is at the right level), so the timing of what you see is never quite the same twice. The processing center and factory show the steps in between, from raw material to the soaps and oils that end up in shops.
A live guide in English, Spanish, Italian, French or one of two other languages leads the group. Hotel pickup is included, and the vehicle is wheelchair accessible. All areas of the village sites are also accessible, and the tour suits all fitness levels.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Russian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (12 to 17 years); Child (3 to 11 years); Infant (under 3).
What exactly do you see at the seaweed farm?
The women who farm the seaweed work in shallow water, harvesting by hand when the tide allows. Depending on when you visit, you may see them in the water doing the work, or you may see the crop after it has been brought in. Either way, you move through to the processing center to watch how the raw seaweed becomes the finished soaps and essential oils.
Does the tour happen if the tide is wrong for harvesting?
Yes. The tour runs whether or not the tide is right for harvest on that day. If the tide does not allow the women to be in the water, you'll still visit the processing center and factory, and you'll see the other stops (the blacksmith, caves and ruins), that make up the cultural village.
How long does the tour take?
The tour runs between four and six hours depending on the tide and how much time you spend at each stop. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in that time.
Is the tour accessible for people with mobility concerns?
Yes. The vehicle is wheelchair accessible, all areas and surfaces at the village sites are wheelchair accessible, and the tour suits all physical fitness levels. Strollers and specialized infant seats are available if you're traveling with small children.
