The experience
The day starts at Kikuletwa Hot Springs, where you wade into turquoise water warmed by natural thermal activity and surrounded by a canopy of ancient trees. A rope swing hangs over the pools. You can use it to launch into the water or simply float and soak. The springs stay warm year-round, and there's no schedule pressure: you swim, sunbathe, or sit on the bank for as long as the day allows.
After the springs, you move to an authentic Maasai village where the cultural part of the day unfolds. You'll put on traditional Maasai clothing, join in energetic dances with villagers, and try your hand at spear throwing. A guide explains the history and daily life of the community as you move through the experience. This is not a staged performance: you're in a real village, learning from people who live there.
Lunch is a freshly prepared local meal made by chefs in the village, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Bottled water is provided. Soft drinks and local beer are available for purchase at the springs. Your guide speaks English throughout, and hotel pickup is included in the booking.
