You meet at the cable car station, ride up with your pilot, hike the final stretch to the launch site, and fly seated in front while the pilot handles takeoff and landing; if you want more control, the pilot teaches you to steer mid-flight. The Experience

You meet your pilot at the Gotschna Cable Cars Station near Klosters Platz railway station. The cable car carries you both up the mountain, then a 10- to 20-minute hike brings you to the launch site. Your pilot sets up the glider and walks you through the takeoff—then it's three steps running and you're airborne. The height difference from launch to landing is 1,000 meters.

Once in the air, you sit comfortably in front of your pilot with no engine noise and no free fall, just a smooth glide. The flight lasts 15 to 35 minutes depending on wind conditions. If you want to try steering, your pilot shows you how to control the glider or you can ask for freestyle maneuvers—the choice is yours mid-flight. The landing happens close to the meeting point with a few running steps to slow down.

The whole outing, from meeting your pilot to landing, takes about 2 hours. Stable shoes and suitable clothing (skiing-like in winter, hiking-like in summer) are lent to you free; you can leave your baggage at the office. Your pilot speaks English, Italian, French or German depending on availability. Souvenir photos are available to purchase after the flight.
