The experience
The Engadin Valley sits ringed by some of the Alps' tallest peaks and their glaciers. A cable car takes you and your pilot up to the launch spot, where the pilot briefs you on what to expect, fits your helmet and gloves, and readies the paraglide. Then you both run off the ridge together. The flight lasts roughly 90 minutes, circling over the valley floor and the lakes below, with the pilot steering while you watch the terrain unfold beneath you.
Landing happens near the meeting point, so there is no long walk back. A video camera mounted on the equipment records the flight, so you have footage of what you saw from up there. The whole experience, from cable car to landing, takes about 90 minutes. Guides speak English, Spanish, Italian, French and one additional language, so you can follow the briefing and any commentary in your own words.

What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Do I need any experience to go paragliding in Engadin?
No experience is necessary. The pilot handles all the flying. You are a passenger. The activity is suitable for all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, cardiovascular concerns, or those over 110 kg in weight.
Is the video camera footage mine to keep?
A video camera records your flight and is included with the experience. Confirm with the operator whether you receive the footage as a file or a link, and in what format.
How do I get to the cable car station for takeoff?
Public transportation options are available near the meeting point. The cable car itself is part of the experience and takes you to the launch ridge. Private transportation to the meeting point is not included and must be arranged separately.
