The experience
The day starts with a hike to the takeoff spot: short enough that you're not exhausted before you launch. Once there, the pilot briefs you on what happens next, fits your helmet and gloves, and walks you through the takeoff procedure. A few running steps together and you're airborne. The flight itself lasts 15–20 minutes: you sit in the harness while the pilot controls the glider, but you can ask to help steer if you want the hands-on feel of it. The view is the whole point: the Engadine spreads out below, the alpine ridges and valleys in full sight as you drift down toward the landing zone.
Landing is simple: a few walking steps with the pilot and you're back on solid ground. The photo or video you booked gets transferred to your phone on the spot, or sent by download link if you prefer. The whole experience (hike, flight, landing and handover) fits inside an hour. A live guide in English, Italian or German is with you throughout, and the activity welcomes children from age 4 up.
