The experience
You launch from the kayak dock and paddle through Stockholm's channels at dusk, moving at a leisurely pace through the city from a vantage point most visitors never reach. The guide navigates the route and points out the neighborhoods, history and atmosphere of Stockholm from the water as daylight fades. You're operating the kayak yourself, not watching from a boat, so the rhythm of the paddle and the angle of approach are yours to control.
Partway through, you pull ashore at a scenic stop where a traditional Swedish Midsummer meal waits. Your guide shares insights into local customs and lifestyle while you eat, grounding the evening's paddle in the culture of the place. The meal is prepared fresh for the group, and you can request dietary adjustments when you book. The paddle resumes afterward, taking you back as Stockholm's evening settles in.
Life vests, paddles and kayaks are provided. The guide speaks English and leads in person. Check in 15 minutes before departure at the kayak dock. If you arrive at departure time or later, you'll miss the tour. Public transportation reaches the meeting point. You'll need to be at least 12 years old, 1.50m tall, able to swim, and comfortable in all weathers unless conditions become unsafe. The guide makes that call.
