The experience

The Stockholm Archipelago spreads across roughly 30,000 islands and rocks, and this trip puts you in control of how you move through them. You arrive at the kayak center, get a fully equipped expedition sea kayak (single or double depending on your preference), and receive a safety briefing and navigation guidance. The operator discusses route options with you, then the rest is yours to decide: where to paddle, which islands to explore, where to make camp at the end of each day.

Your kayak carries everything you need for three nights. The package includes a tent with sleeping bag, mattress and fresh sheet; a Trangia outdoor cooking system with gas; waterproof bags for clothes; cutlery, mug and plate; a water container; and a shovel. You fish, swim and sunbathe on warm rocks between paddling, and cook your own meals at camp. The sea kayaks are stable and spacious enough to hold all the gear without feeling cramped, and you navigate using the map and compass provided.

You choose when to arrive at the kayak center, which operates weekdays 10–18 and weekends 10–17. The operator meets you during those hours to hand over equipment and brief you on safety and navigation. From that point, the route, the pace and the islands where you stop are entirely your call.
