Step-by-step itinerary

Explore Soufriere's natural and cultural sites

  • Visit Tet Paul nature trail
  • Experience Sulphur Springs Park and mud bath
  • Walk into rainforest and dip in hot springs
  • Stop at beach for lunch and ocean dip
  • Tour chocolate factory and try casava bread
  • Pass fishing village and take photos

The experience

This tour runs on your schedule, not a preset one. You arrive with your group and tell the guide which attractions matter to you: Tet Paul nature trail, Sulphur Springs Park's volcanic mud bath, a rainforest hot spring, the chocolate factory, the cassava bread stop, the fishing village for photos, or a beach lunch break. The guide takes you to the ones you choose, at the pace that suits your group. Transportation is included. Bottled water keeps you hydrated between stops.

Sulphur Springs Park sits at the core of most itineraries: a working geothermal site where you wade into warm mud, exfoliate, and rinse in hot spring water. A short rainforest walk leads to a second hot spring for swimming. The chocolate factory shows the bean-to-bar process, and the cassava place lets you taste fresh-baked bread. If you want a beach lunch, you stop at a local spot and swim in the ocean. The fishing village at the end is built for photos: colorful boats and working nets. The Piton Mountains frame the landscape throughout.

Entrance fees to attractions and lunch are not included in the tour price, so you pay separately at each stop. This setup lets you skip any site that doesn't appeal and spend longer at the ones that do. Groups stay under a certain size, which means the guide can actually hear what you want and adjust on the fly. Children from age 5 can join. Younger ones can ride in a stroller on the easier sections.

Is this one for you?Book this tour if your group wants to control the pace and skip anything that doesn't interest you: the flexibility to design your own route is what makes a 6-hour window feel unhurried instead of rushed. If you prefer a set itinerary where the guide decides the stops, a standard group tour will suit you better.

Top questions

What languages is the guide in?

Live guide in English and French.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Child (5 to 11 years). Under 5: they can't be included in the booking.

What's the mud bath at Sulphur Springs Park actually like?

Sulphur Springs Park is a geothermal site where warm volcanic mud sits in shallow pools. You wade in, coat yourself, let it dry slightly, then rinse in the hot spring water. It's a working park with a small entrance fee, and the whole experience takes about an hour if you're thorough.

Can I really skip attractions I'm not interested in?

Yes. You tell the guide which stops matter to your group, and that's your route. If the chocolate factory doesn't appeal, you don't go. If you want two hours at the beach instead of one, you get it. The 6-hour window is fixed, but how you use it is yours.

Do I need to arrange lunch, or is there food included?

Lunch is not included in the tour price. If you want to eat, you stop at a local beach spot and order from there. You pay separately. Bottled water is provided throughout the tour to keep you hydrated between stops.

What's the rainforest hot spring like compared to Sulphur Springs Park?

The rainforest hot spring is a natural pool fed by geothermal water, reached by a 5-minute walk into the forest. It's cooler and clearer than the mud bath at Sulphur Springs, and it's a place to swim rather than soak. Most groups do both if time allows.
