The experience

The activity starts at Los Giles, the mountain above Las Palmas where your instructor meets you to go over safety, equipment and any questions. You'll get all the gear you need. The paraglider is a two-seater flexible wing designed for tandem flight. The instructor controls the glider. You're strapped in and flying. Takeoff depends on wind speed between 15 and 30 km/h, so the pilot will confirm the exact time and meeting point 24 hours before via WhatsApp.

Once airborne, you spend roughly 20 minutes aloft, drifting over Las Palmas and its main beach, Playa de las Canteras. The flight path and duration shift with wind conditions, but the landing happens at the same spot you left from. You'll receive photos of the flight. Video is available for an extra cost if you want it.

The instructor, Mr. Alfredo, speaks English, Spanish or German and prioritizes your safety throughout. No prior paragliding experience is necessary, though you need to be at least 14 years old (minors require a parent or guardian's consent), weigh no more than 100 kilos, have no leg mobility restrictions, and be in good overall health. Wear comfortable sportswear and don't bring anything loose that could fall during flight. If weather cancels the activity, you can reschedule or get a full refund.
