The Experience
The hike starts at the cliff edge, and within the first stretch you're standing at the mouth of an ancient aboriginal cave carved into the rock face. Your guide checks your harness (professional mountain guide, always belayed, always safe), and then you're backing over the lip with ropes, descending toward the ocean 125 meters below. The abseil takes you down to the coastline itself, where the real coasteering in Gran Canaria begins. This is not a walk. This is climbing along the sea.
Once you're at water level, the route follows the rocks themselves. There's a section called the chain pass: metal chains bolted into the stone, and you're using them to move across the face while the Atlantic rolls underneath. Your guide teaches the technique as you go, and the equipment is all there: harness, helmet, everything fitted. The climbing is graded easy to moderate, but the setting is anything but ordinary. You're not on a gym wall. You're on the actual coast of Gran Canaria, reading the rock, feeling the spray.
Then comes the zipline. Thirty-five meters, strung out over the waves, and you're flying across open ocean before the line brings you back to solid rock. After that rush, the final push is an easy climb up the Atlantic rock itself until you're standing at the top, 125 meters above the sea. From there, the whole route spreads out below you: the caves, the coastline, the path you just took. The adventure ends back at the starting point with snacks and that view, the one that makes you understand why they designed this route in the first place.
From June through August, the zipline swaps for water jumps instead, so the route shifts with the season. No prior experience is required: only a moderate level of fitness and the willingness to move on rock and rope. If the date you want is full, contact them directly. There's often a waiting list spot available.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
Do I need climbing or abseiling experience?
No. The guide teaches all techniques as you go. You need moderate fitness and the ability to move on rock and rope, but not prior experience.
What happens if I'm afraid of heights?
The abseil and zipline both involve height. The guide is always attached to you with a safety rope during the abseil, but if heights are a significant concern, this route may not be the right fit.
Is the chain pass difficult?
It's graded easy to moderate climbing. The chains are bolted into the rock and your guide is with you, but you are moving along the actual coastline with the sea below.
What's included in the price?
Harness, helmet, and professional mountain guide. You provide moderate fitness and willingness to abseil, climb, and zipline.
What's the difference between summer and winter routes?
June to August, the zipline is replaced with water jumps. The rest of the route (cave, abseil, chain pass, and final climb) stays the same.
How long does the whole adventure take?
The itinerary does not specify total duration, but plan for a full morning or afternoon based on the number of stages and the coastal climbing involved.
What if my date is fully booked?
