The experience

The boat leaves Club de Mar, a superyacht harbor five minutes from Palma's main cruise terminal, and sails past the Cathedral de Mallorca and the Faro de Porto Pi before heading to the Illetes Islands. The 41-foot motor yacht has a bathing platform, shaded areas, a sundeck and a changing room, so you can move between sun and shelter as the day goes on. The crew prepares fresh lunch once you anchor in the bay.

At the Illetes Islands, the coves are shallow and protected enough for snorkeling without current or surge. You can snorkel the rocky bottom or jump from the rocks: low jumps for anyone hesitant, higher ones for people who want the drop. The crew has snorkeling equipment and SUP boards on board, and a fresh-water shower to rinse off salt. Drinks run to beer, wine, soft drinks and water. Bottle service with spirits and champagne is available if you want to order it at checkout.

Four hours means you're back in Palma by early afternoon, which leaves the rest of the day open. The boat passes the Marivent Royal Palace on the return, so you see the south coast without needing to drive it yourself.
