The Experience

The captain meets you at the rear barrier of Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa, in front of the Cala Estancia car park. Arrive 10 minutes early—boarding closes 5 minutes before departure, and the boat leaves on time regardless. Once aboard, the sailboat carries you through the Bay of Palma to several coves with water clear enough to see the bottom. You get snorkeling equipment and a paddle board, and the stops are yours to shape: swim where the water calls you, stay aboard and watch, or paddle out on the board.

Between stops, the captain brings out snacks—potato omelet, ham and cheese, hummus with vegetables, pizza—and pours your two included drinks: beer, soft drinks, white wine or water. The wind decides how much sail gets used, so some days the boat moves under canvas and some days under motor, but either way you're moving through the same water and hitting the same coves. The whole thing runs 4 hours, which is long enough to feel unhurried but short enough to fit around other plans.

Small groups mean you're not packed shoulder-to-shoulder, and the captain speaks English or Spanish depending on who books. If you don't have a car, public transportation reaches the meeting point, so you can walk or take a bus instead of renting.

Snorkeling equipment is included, so you don't need to bring your own mask, fins or snorkel. Bring a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes and water shoes if you prefer them for getting in and out of the boat.
