Scuba Diving in Menorca: Your First Underwater Experience
Breathing underwater for the first time, guided by a PADI instructor in Menorca's clearest waters.
Scuba diving in Menorca is a beginner's first dive with a PADI instructor in waters on the southeast coast, limited to 6 meters depth and lasting 90 minutes. You learn basic diving techniques in the water itself, practicing exercises before exploring the seafloor. The activity includes online theory beforehand, all diving equipment, PADI registration, and a guide who speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French; children from age 10 are welcome. Diving insurance is available as an add-on at checkout.
The Experience
What does it feel like to breathe underwater? This dive answers that question in the calm, clear waters off Menorca's southeast coast, where visibility lets you see what you're doing from the moment you enter. A PADI instructor walks you through the basics—how to breathe from the regulator, how to equalize pressure, how to move—in shallow water before you explore the seafloor at a maximum depth of 6 meters. The whole experience runs 90 minutes, and you'll have completed some online theory before you arrive, so the time in the water goes toward actually diving, not classroom talk.
The instructor handles the setup. You show up with your minimum age (10 years old) and the willingness to try something new; the rest—wetsuit, tank, weights, mask, fins—comes with the booking. The dive site sits on the southeast coast where the water stays calm and the visibility is the kind that makes a first dive feel less like a leap and more like a step. You practice a few exercises at the start, then move into exploring what's actually there: the underwater landscape Menorca offers. A guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French, so language isn't a barrier.
The activity includes access to online theory, the PADI instructor, your PADI registration fee, and all diving equipment. Diving insurance can be added at checkout if you want it. Public transportation runs nearby, and the site is wheelchair accessible.
