The experience

The boat leaves Puerto del Carmen harbor at 11am with a welcome mojito and Spanish omelet waiting as you board. You'll sail toward Papagayo Coast with an unlimited open bar running the whole time, so drinks stay free whether you're on deck or in the water. The catamaran is luxury-class and carries a multilingual guide (English, Spanish, French and Italian available, German on Thursdays by request).

Once anchored in front of Papagayo's white sand beaches, the afternoon splits between what you want to do. Kayak around the bay, snorkel, or swim off the boat. The kayaks are included and ready to go. If you'd rather stay on deck, the views and breeze are the whole point, and you're not obligated to get in the water. A fresh Spanish paella and more open-bar drinks arrive while you're anchored, so lunch happens with the beach in front of you.

The crossing back to Puerto del Carmen takes in the Lanzarote landscape, and a return bus waits at the harbor at 4pm to take you back to your resort. If you booked with pickup service, the driver collects you from your hotel beforehand. If not, you meet the boat directly at the harbor. Bookings made within 24 hours of departure don't include guaranteed pickup, so contact the supplier directly if you need that service confirmed.
