You kayak out from the boat and snorkel in water so clear you see the seabed.

A catamaran cruise from Lanzarote to La Graciosa island with five hours of sailing, swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in a marine reserve. The boat departs at 11am, stops at the village of Caleta de Sebo for an hour on foot, then anchors offshore where you choose between the water and the deck. Snorkeling gear, kayak, lunch and an unlimited bar are included; a professional guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French and German (German and Italian by request). Return bus transfer from most Lanzarote resorts is included in one option.

The Experience

You board at 11am and sail into the Graciosa marine reserve, a protected stretch of water between Lanzarote and the smaller island where few boats go. The catamaran is built for this—a luxury hull that cuts the crossing in under an hour and sits stable enough that lunch stays on the plate. Once you arrive, the crew anchors offshore and the water becomes your choice: an hour ashore in Caleta de Sebo, the only village, where the church and beach are the main sights and a few bars line the sandy streets, or straight into the water from the boat.

The snorkeling happens in the shallows off the anchorage. You get a full set of gear—mask, fins, snorkel—and the water is calm enough that even first-timers can see down to the seabed. A kayak sits tethered to the boat if you want to paddle out farther. Between water time, you can lie on the deck and dry off, or stay in the shade. Lunch—a traditional paella—comes on board after the morning swim, along with an unlimited bar. Vegan and vegetarian versions are available if you book ahead.

The boat leaves Lanzarote from the main marina and returns by 4pm. If your resort is on the island, a return bus transfer is included in one of the two booking options; the other option has no pickup, so you drive or taxi to the marina yourself. The crew is multilingual and the whole day runs on a fixed schedule, so the timing holds even if the weather shifts slightly. Bring a passport or ID card—you're crossing between Canary Islands—and note that bookings made within 24 hours of departure don't include pickup; you'll need to get to the meeting point on your own.

Top questions

What is Caleta de Sebo like when we get there?

Caleta de Sebo is the only village on La Graciosa, built on sandy streets with a church and a beach as the main landmarks. You get one hour to walk around, and there are a few bars and shops, but it's small and quiet—not a tourist resort.

Can I snorkel if I've never done it before?

Yes. The snorkeling happens in shallow, calm water off the boat's anchorage, and the crew provides all the gear. The water is clear enough to see the seabed, and you can go in and out of the water as you choose.

Is the catamaran comfortable for a full day on the water?

The catamaran is built as a luxury hull, which means it sits stable in the water and has enough space to move around. You can lie on deck between swims, eat lunch on board and use the shade when you need it.

What time does the boat leave and come back?

The boat leaves the marina at 11am and returns by 4pm, so the whole day is five hours on the water plus the village visit. The schedule is fixed so the timing holds even if weather changes slightly.

Do I need to bring my own snorkeling gear?

No. Snorkeling equipment, kayak use and a full paella lunch with an unlimited bar are all included. You just need to bring a passport or ID card since you're traveling between Canary Islands.

Is pickup from my hotel included?

Return bus transfer from most Lanzarote resorts is included in one booking option; the other option has no pickup, so you arrange your own way to the marina. Bookings made within 24 hours of departure don't include pickup regardless of which option you choose.
