Dolphin watching and snorkeling: Morro Jable, a morning
You'll see humpback whales and pilot whales alongside dolphins in the same afternoon.
A 2.5-hour boat trip from Morro Jable port in Fuerteventura where you watch for dolphins, flying fish, humpback whales and pilot whales, then stop to snorkel the coast. The boat is air-conditioned, a soft drink is included, and a live guide speaks English or Spanish. Children from age 5 are welcome, and pickup is arranged.
Step-by-step itinerary
Dolphin watching and snorkeling adventure
- Embark from Morro Jable port
- Observe dolphins and whales
- Walk along the coast
- Swim or snorkel in the sea
- Enjoy a soft drink or water
The Experience
The boat leaves Morro Jable and heads into waters where you can spot up to seven dolphin species, along with humpback and pilot whales. The trip runs two and a half hours total, so there's time to watch without rushing past the sightings. You're on the water looking, not sitting through a presentation—the guide points out what appears and explains what you're seeing as it happens.
Partway through, the boat stops at a stretch of coast where you can swim or snorkel. The water here holds different marine life than the open ocean, so you get two kinds of watching in one trip. A soft drink is included, and the air-conditioned cabin means you can step inside if the sun gets too much.
The guide speaks English or Spanish, so you follow the commentary in whichever language works for your group. Children from age 5 can come along. Pickup is included, which means you don't arrange your own transport to the port—that's handled before you board.

How many dolphin species might I see on this trip from Morro Jable?
Up to seven species of dolphins live in these waters off Fuerteventura, and the boat is built around finding them. You'll also have a chance to spot flying fish, humpback whales and pilot whales in the same outing.
Is there time to snorkel, or is this only watching from the boat?
The trip includes a stop where you can swim or snorkel along the coast, so you're in the water for part of the 2.5 hours, not just observing from the deck.
What's included in the price?
The boat trip, the snorkeling stop, a soft drink, the air-conditioned cabin and a live guide in English or Spanish are all included. Pickup to Morro Jable port is arranged as well.
Can my five-year-old come on this boat?
Children from age 5 are welcome. Infants under 5 can come if they sit on an adult's lap. The trip is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
The activity is subject to adverse weather conditions, so the boat may not depart or may cut the trip short if conditions change. Check the forecast before you book and plan a backup day if you're visiting for only a short time.
