Kayak Costa Brava's Hidden Caves & Cliff Jump into the Sea

You hike a coastal trail, kayak past sea caves and hidden bays, snorkel in clear lagoons, and optionally cliff jump into the Mediterranean. The tour includes all kayaking gear, insurance, lunch recommendations, and free time to rest on the beach or explore on your own before returning to Barcelona by vehicle.

9h

Step-by-step itinerary

Hike, kayak, snorkel, and relax

  • Hike coastal trail Camino de Ronda
  • Reach beach in Sant Pol de S’Agaró
  • Change into swim clothes at Escola de Vela
  • Kayak along cliffs and visit hidden caves
  • Swim and snorkel in clear lagoons
  • Cliff jump in secluded spots
  • Enjoy free time for lunch or beach

The Experience

The hike starts early on El Camino de Ronda, the coastal path that cuts along the cliffs above Sant Pol de S'Agaró. You're walking through Aleppo and Stone pine trees, the Mediterranean dropping away on your right, and the whole thing takes about an hour to reach the beach where the kayaks wait. The air smells like salt and dry scrub. By the time you reach the Escola de Vela and change into swim clothes, you've already earned the water.

Then you're in the kayak, paddle in hand, moving slowly past rock formations and into caves that only open from the sea. The water is so clear you see straight through it — fish moving underneath, the rocky bottom, everything. Your guide points out cormorants and seagulls, and you drift into spots where the cliffs lean over the water like they're listening. There's a moment when you round a corner and the whole bay opens up, and you realize you're somewhere most people never get to see because they can't kayak to it. The snorkeling happens in a secluded lagoon, the kind of place where you can actually breathe underwater and look around without thinking about anything else.

Cliff jumping is optional, but if you want it, your guide finds a safe spot — not some reckless drop, just a real jump into deep water that makes your stomach flip for exactly the right amount of time. After that, you paddle back to the beach with enough daylight left to sit down somewhere, order paella, and let the Mediterranean dry off your shoulders. The tour includes all the gear — kayak, paddle, lifejacket, wetsuit if you need it — plus accident and liability insurance, bottled water, and the air-conditioned ride back to Barcelona, so you're not figuring out logistics while you're tired and hungry.

What’s included

Your day includes the guided hike along El Camino de Ronda, kayak, paddle, lifejacket, optional wetsuit, snorkeling in secluded lagoons, optional cliff jumping, bottled water, accident and liability insurance, and air-conditioned transport from Barcelona. Lunch is on your own at local restaurants near the beach, with recommendations from your guide.
