The experience

Your driver picks you up at your accommodation and starts with a drive through Cape Town's city centre, then stops in the Bo-Kaap for photos of the brightly coloured houses that give the Cape Malay Quarter its character. From there you head to Table Mountain, where the cable car takes you to the top for panoramic views across Cape Town, Robben Island and the Atlantic. The route then follows the Atlantic Seaboard through Clifton and Camps Bay before heading down Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most scenic coastal roads, with a stop for photos at the viewpoint.

Boulders Beach is where the day often becomes the reason people book this tour. The African penguin colony there is the main draw.
