The route starts in Bo-Kaap, the neighborhood of steep cobbled streets and bright painted houses that dominates Cape Town postcards, giving you time to walk and photograph before moving on. From there the tour follows the Atlantic Seaboard—stopping at Maiden's Cove and Camps Bay with its white sand and the Twelve Apostles mountain backdrop—then drops into Hout Bay, where a Seal Island boat trip is available at your own cost if the weather and sea conditions allow.

Chapman's Peak Drive is the centerpiece of the middle hours: a coastal road carved into cliffs above the ocean, with dramatic views of rock faces and open water. The toll is included.
