You walk the OCBC Skyway suspended 22 meters above the Supertrees, descend into the Cloud Forest to see a 35-meter indoor waterfall and life-sized dinosaurs, stroll through the Flower Dome's nine themed gardens, and can catch the Garden Rhapsody light show in the evening. All entry tickets are included. Plan for 3–4 hours if you move at a normal pace; add time if you want to photograph or sit quietly in the Flower Dome.
The OCBC Skyway is a suspended walkway 22 meters above the ground, stretching 128 meters between the iconic Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. You step onto it and the city drops away—Marina Bay Sands sits in the distance, the gardens sprawl below, and the Supertrees themselves rise around you, their vertical gardens catching the light. It's the kind of view that stops you mid-step, and the walkway is long enough that you feel the height the whole way across. Most people time it for late afternoon, when the sun hits the water and the skyline starts to glow.
After the Skyway, you move into the Cloud Forest—a glass dome housing the world's tallest indoor waterfall, a 35-meter cascade that fills the space with mist and sound. The waterfall is real, not a projection; you walk the Cloud Walk and Treetop Walk suspended above tropical greenery, and the air cools around you as you climb. Then comes the surprise: life-sized animatronic dinosaurs from Jurassic World—a Brachiosaurus, Velociraptors, a T-Rex—positioned among the plants as if they belonged there. It's an odd mix, botanical and cinematic at once, and it works because the mist and the height make it feel less like a theme park and more like stumbling into something that shouldn't exist. The panels explain which plants actually lived alongside these animals, which grounds the whole thing in something real.
The Flower Dome is the third major space—1.2 hectares under glass, divided into nine themed gardens inspired by regions like the Mediterranean, South Africa, and California. Baobabs, olive trees, succulents, and rotating seasonal flower displays fill the air with color and fragrance. It's cooler inside than the Singapore heat outside, and quieter; people move slowly through the arches and flower beds, stopping to photograph or just breathe. The panels tell you about climate zones and conservation, so it's not just visual—there's something to learn if you want it.
In the evening, the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show runs at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, and if you time it right, you can watch from the OCBC Skyway above the Supertree Grove. The trees light up in synchronized patterns with music—the theme changes monthly (Opera in the Gardens in March, Retro Fever in April, Star Wars in early May, and so on through the year). It's free if you're already inside the gardens, and it's the kind of thing that feels designed for photos but also genuinely holds your attention. Last admission is 8 PM, so you need to be inside by then if you want to catch the later show. The gardens stay open until 9 PM daily.
