"How high does this thing go?" The answer is 200 meters — straight up the side of Marina Bay Sands, three stacked hotel towers that hold you above the city like you're floating. Your e-ticket gets you onto the SkyPark Observation Deck, a wooden platform wrapped in nothing but glass and a few wires between you and the Malay Peninsula stretching out below. The view works day or night: blue water and container ships in daylight, the city's lights bleeding into the harbor after dark.

You'll arrive at Bayfront MRT and follow the hotel exterior from Tower 1 through to Tower 3 — the route changed recently, so the management sends it in your confirmation email. Bring a valid passport or photo ID; you'll show it at the entrance along with your phone-based e-ticket, which arrives by email the day before. The deck is subject to time slots, and you need to arrive 30 minutes early, so plan for that window. If rain closes the observation deck, you can reschedule at the counter or wait for it to reopen and use the same ticket — no refund either way.

The SkyPark itself is a 360-degree wooden platform designed by architect Moshe Safdie, built on top of those three towers at the edge of the city's harbor. Nothing blocks the view except glass. On a clear day you can trace the coastline; at night the skyline reflects off the water and the whole thing becomes a different city. It's not a tour with a guide or a narrative — it's just you, the height, and the sight of Singapore from above.
