The experience

You start at the cable car base in Poiana Brasov and ride up 800 m with your pilot to the takeoff point at 1,800 m on Postavaru peak. From there, the flight itself runs 12–18 minutes, long enough to see Brasov city spread below and the Bucegi and Baiului mountains across the horizon. The whole experience, from meeting your pilot to landing, takes about an hour. Wear mountain shoes, long trousers and a windproof jacket: the altitude and wind make layers essential even on warm days.

The pilots here have flown tandem for over 10 years and speak English, Spanish, Italian and Romanian, so language is not a barrier. They offer a calm, straightforward flight as the default, but if you want more intensity they can add spirals and wing-overs for extra adrenaline. Either way, a camera captures full HD video and still photos throughout the flight, and those files go home with you. The weight range is 30–100 kg per person. Children from age 10 can fly with parental consent.
