What do you see in a city that is building its future while keeping its past? This tour answers that by moving between four distinct corners of Doha. You start with hotel pickup (the guide will call within 45 minutes of your scheduled time to confirm), and head first to the traditional dhow harbour, where wooden sailing boats sit against the modern skyline. From there the route opens onto The Pearl, a man-made island of 400 hectares built as Qatar's first major international development, with its Riviera-style villas and waterfront promenades. The contrast is immediate and deliberate.
Katara Cultural Village comes next, the largest cultural project in Qatar, built around theatres, concert halls and exhibition galleries where the country stages everything from traditional performances to international shows. Then you walk through Souq Waqif, the maze of small shops selling spices, perfumes, jewellery and handicrafts that has operated in these alleys for generations. The souq has restaurants and cafes scattered through it, so you can pause and sit if the pace allows. The final stop is the National Museum of Qatar, designed to tell the story of the nation's heritage and its ties to the wider world. Your guide handles the route and the timing. You move through the vehicle between stops and walk the sites themselves.

What is Souq Waqif actually like to walk through?
Souq Waqif is a traditional marketplace with narrow alleys lined with small shops selling Middle Eastern spices, perfumes, jewellery, handicrafts and seasonal goods. The souq has its own restaurants and cafes where you can sit, and traditional music and cultural performances happen throughout the day. It is the oldest and most intact part of the city's commercial heritage.
Can I choose between a private tour and a group tour?
