The experience
You get picked up from your Doha hotel and driven to the Sealine Desert, where the main event starts: a 30-minute ride on your own quad bike or buggy, depending on which option you book. The vehicle allocation depends on group size: solo travelers and pairs get one buggy, groups of three or four get two, and larger groups get more. You operate the machine yourself across the dunes while the driver leads the way, handling the route and the pace.
After the ride, the safari continues with dune bashing in the air-conditioned vehicle, then a break for sandboarding and a short camel ride at a nearby camp where you can drink local tea and water. The driver stops at desert viewpoints for photos before returning you to your hotel. If the ATV or buggy ride isn't for you, you can skip it entirely and spend those 30 minutes resting at the camp or exploring on foot: the rest of the day unfolds the same way.
The whole outing runs between three and four hours from pickup to drop-off. A passport is required to sign the rental contract for the quad or buggy. Riders need at least a moderate level of fitness. The operator does not recommend this activity for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy. Children under a certain age cannot ride alone and must be supervised by an adult. Riders over 65 should avoid the ATV or buggy portion.
Is this one for you?Book the quad bike or buggy option if you want to operate the vehicle yourself across the dunes. Choose the shared tour without ATV or buggy if you prefer to experience the desert from the vehicle and at a relaxed pace. Riders need a moderate level of fitness and must be at least 18 years old. Children can ride with an adult supervisor, and riders over 65 should skip the ATV or buggy portion.
