The experience
The tour starts at Ocean Park, a local favorite tucked between Condado and Isla Verde where surfers and kiteboarders share the sand with swimmers and sunbathers. From there, the guide drives you to Piñones, a string of beachfront kioscos where you order alcapurrias, octopus arepas, and piononos: the street foods Puerto Ricans eat when they want the real thing. You eat at a table facing the water, then swim or walk the shore before the final stop.
Vacía Talega, in Loíza, is the quietest of the three: a crescent of golden sand with calm water and almost no commercial development. It's the place locals go to disconnect. You get free time to swim, tan, walk, or sit under a palm tree while the guide handles the logistics and takes photos you'll actually want to keep. The whole route takes three hours, which means you're back by midday and the rest of your day in Puerto Rico is still yours.
A designated driver leads the tour in a UTV that seats up to three passengers. You don't drive it yourself. The guide speaks English or Spanish and knows which kioscos are worth the stop and which beaches have the best light at that hour. Bring a valid license, and if you're traveling with a small child, bring a car seat.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between Ocean Park and Vacía Talega on this tour?
Ocean Park is the vibrant, social beach in the heart of San Juan where locals swim and kiteboarders work the wind. Vacía Talega is a quiet, undeveloped stretch in Loíza where you go to relax without crowds or commercial noise.
Do I get to swim at all three beaches?
Yes. You have free time at each stop to swim, tan, walk, or sit: the guide doesn't rush you through any of them.
What kind of food do you eat at Piñones?
Street food from the kioscos: alcapurrias (fried plantain and meat), octopus arepas, and piononos (plantain rounds with meat and cheese), all made by vendors locals know and trust.
Does the guide take photos, or do I need to bring a camera?
The guide captures professional photos during the tour so you can swim and relax without worrying about selfies. You take home the images afterward.
How much time do I have at each beach?
The tour is three hours total across all three stops, so you get meaningful time at each one without feeling rushed, though the exact breakdown depends on what you want to do at each spot.
