The Experience

Hands dip into the water and light trails follow. That's the moment most people book this tour for, but it doesn't happen until you've driven 2 hours and 20 minutes south from San Juan through the Central area's lush green, then into the semi-desert landscape that opens up near Lajas. The drive is long, but the road itself changes as you go—bathroom stops are offered along the way, and the landscape shift is real enough that you feel the distance.
