The Experience

We stepped off the tram into Lisbon’s Campo de Ourique neighborhood, and it just hit me — that mix of bakery air and something frying, like the city wanted us to follow our noses. The first thing she handed out was this little cod cake — salty, warm, almost creamy inside — and I swear I could’ve eaten ten but tried to play it cool.

The Portuguese food tour kept moving, weaving through tiny restaurants where locals actually eat (not a tourist menu in sight).
