The experience
You board a speed boat in the early morning and head out to San Vicente point, a marine sanctuary where the water holds vibrant corals and fish. The guide (speaking English, Japanese or Filipino) positions the boat over the garden and you enter the water wearing a life jacket and snorkeling gear, moving at your own pace through the reef. The whole outing runs 2 hours on the water, timed to catch the rising sun reflecting off the underwater colors as you start your day.
Snorkeling equipment, a towel and bottled water come with the booking. Public transportation options are available nearby if you need to reach the departure point. The activity suits all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnancy. Children from age 3 can join.
