The experience
You arrive in Cebu and need a break from the city. The tour picks you up anywhere in Cebu City or northern Cebu, drives you to Hagnaya Port in San Remigio, and ferries you across to Santa Fe on Bantayan Island. From there, a driver brings you to the SYKE Travel & Tours office, where you'll settle in with a welcome drink before the first half-day tour begins. The itinerary shifts based on weather and group makeup, so the guide adapts the stops to what works that day.
Day one covers the island's mix of known and hidden spots. You'll see the Fountain of Love garden, the German Ruin and Cliff (a mysterious abandoned house from the late 1990s perched on the hillside), and what the operator calls probably the most peaceful beach on the island. The Mangrove Garden offers a chance to explore untouched nature up close, and the Nature Park on the eastern coast has a natural fish spa where small fish nibble at your skin. You'll also visit the big white cross at the island's top, the historic Sts. Peter and Paul Church from the Spanish colonial era, and stop at the public fish market. The tour ends with time to relax on the beach.
Day two is island hopping. You'll head to Virgin Island first (a white-sand beach with cliff diving spots), then move to Hilantagaan, where you can either join a guided tour of the island or simply rest on the beach. The afternoon takes you to Balidbid Lagoon, where you paddle through narrow channels bordered by mangroves in emerald water. Day three is yours to spend as you wish on Bantayan Island. You choose when to head back, and the driver picks you up at the office to return you to Hagnaya Port, then ferries you back and drives you to anywhere in Cebu City or northern Cebu.
