Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Bohol's top attractions
- Visit Chocolate Hills Complex
- See the Philippine Tarsier
- Enjoy Loboc River boat cruise
The experience
The day starts with hotel pickup in Cebu and a 2-hour ferry ride to Bohol on air-conditioned seats. Once on the island, you'll drive through the Bilar Man-made Mahogany Forest before reaching the Chocolate Hills in Carmen town or Sagbayan Peak. Two viewpoints for the same geological formation: 1,268 cone-shaped hills ranging from 30 to 120 meters high, spread across 50 square kilometers. The hills are the most photographed attraction on the island, and the tour builds the day around them.
After the hills, you'll visit the Philippine Tarsier sanctuary to see one of the world's smallest primates (no longer than a grown man's hand), before heading to Loboc River. There, you board a motorized pump boat decorated with buntings and native crafts for a cruise along palm-fringed banks and lush inland vegetation. Lunch is served on the floating restaurant during the boat ride, which ends near Tontonan waterfalls where you can swim. The route also includes Baclayon Church, one of the oldest in the country, and the Butterfly Garden if time allows.
An air-conditioned vehicle and professional English-speaking guide stay with you between each stop. Other languages are available on request, subject to availability. The ferry back to Cebu departs in the late afternoon, and the full day (ferry, transfers, guide, lunch and all entrance fees) wraps by early evening.
