The Experience

The day starts at 4 PM at the Casa Duna office in Huacachina. You ride a dune buggy through the Ica desert, visiting the Huacachina Oasis and practicing sandboarding and sandtubing on the dunes. After watching the sunset, you're transferred to Duna Camp, where the chef grills beef or chicken with vegetables and cocktail potatoes, paired with wine. The camp has a bonfire area, dining area, bathrooms and sleeping tents — each one an imported Sibley canvas model with a mattress and memory foam pillows.

Morning brings a transfer back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower before the experience ends. The camp accommodates small groups; weekend departures run as group trips, while weekday bookings are available any day. Tent type (double or twin) and dinner protein are chosen when you reserve.

The overnight camp is built for comfort with imported tents and a grilled meal, which means you get the full desert experience without roughing it.
