The experience
The Rangeela Rickshaw is how you move through the Walled City: a decorated three-wheeler that fits the narrow streets and bazaars where a car cannot go. Your private licensed guide narrates the route in your choice of English, Punjabi or Urdu, steering you past the colorful stalls and hidden lanes most visitors miss. The rickshaw itself is part of the experience: it is how locals travel here, and riding one puts you among the rhythm of Old Lahore rather than watching it from behind glass.
The route covers the major Mughal sites within walking distance of each other. Lahore Fort, rebuilt in burnt brick by Akbar in 1566, holds the Mirror Palace, Moti Mosque, the Armory Museum and the Mughal Art Gallery. Badshahi Mosque stands nearby, and between them lies Jilani (Lawrence) Garden, laid out in 1818 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. You visit the Wazir Khan Mosque, built in 1635 by the governor of Punjab and decorated as a school of design; the Shahi Hamam (royal baths) from the same period, which UNESCO has recognized; and the Quran Gallery, where you see a Quran embroidered in gold and silver thread. The guide shows you Gali Surjan Singh, a street in the Walled City restored with funding from both the Pakistani and German governments, and explains the stories behind the Delhi Gate and the Masjid Shab Bhar (the One Night Mosque, built in a single night during a land dispute). You also pass the grave of Muhammad Iqbal, Pakistan's national poet, near the stairs of Badshahi Mosque.
All sightseeing tickets and guide charges are included in the price. You pay nothing extra at the gates. The tour is designed for small groups or families, and the rickshaw seats up to four passengers comfortably. If you want to add meals, you arrange them separately: the bazaars and streets around the Walled City have food stalls and restaurants, but they are not part of the booking.

If you prefer to add meals, you can stop at bazaar food stalls along the way and arrange them at checkout or on the day itself.
